Outreach
Ginny Thomas is in charge of this service, which is for anyone who has difficulty coming to the library because of an illness or disability. When contacted by a new outreach patron, she sets a date and time for your first meeting. At that meeting, you discuss what kind of books and which authors you are interested in. Large print books and audiovisual collections are available, as well as "playaway," a self-contained audiobook that functions like an mp3 player. Free notary service is also available.
People can be considered for this program from their private homes only by appointment. Ginny also serves a number of public locations, which can be found on the Outreach Calendar . At each public location, at 2:00 P.M. on the designated days, there is a reading program. Everyone is enjoying the books and discussions that ensue. Come join in!
To sign up, call 255-0511, ext. 104, and ask for Ginny.
